Week 2: 2013

Photos taken this week: 65

Jan 7: I had my gall bladder removed. It's called a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, or lap choley for short. they fill you full of gas, make 4 puncture holes, insert straws, and then insert their tools into the straws. one of the tools is a camera so the surgeon can watch what he is doing inside me via a tv monitor. here's a video you can watch (be sure you aren't eating).
i can still feel the gas moving around inside my body, its very reminiscent of when i was pregnant and could feel the kids kicking me - odd to feel that now after not being pregnant for almost 3 years, lol. I can't bend over or pick up anything, the kids are sad I can't pick them up and I'm sad too. I can't even give hugs except to the side. :(

Jan 12: Evie’s new go-to phrase, “aaawe, that’s so cuuuuuuute!”
