Eric is 1 year and 3 months and 2 weeks old!

This week Eric is doing a lot better eating those big boy foods again. After all 4 molars came in at the same time, he didn't want much to do with eating at all, but each day he is discovering something yummy and new!

Today is Bailey's birthday! He is 2 years old! He had a birthday hat and balloons and got new fun toys!

Hey, Bailey, I have a great idea, let's throw this good potting soil into the wind and see what happens!

Isn't it funny how the cutest pictures come from things we'd rather they not do? Needless, to say, when he came in, he got straight into the bathtub, lol!

Eric is 1 year and 3 months and 1 week old!

This week was Eric's 15 month dr visit. He is 24.4 pounds and 31.5 inches tall (that's a little over 2 and a half feet!) He also got 3 shots and some really cool Snoopy in Space band-aids!

Eric is copying more and more of the words we say, this week he said, "happy birthday," "grandpa," "bailey," and "love you."

Many thanks to Lisa for the Kangaroo Climber!

Eric loves his stuffed beagle almost as much as his real life beagle, lol!

Eric is 1 year and 3 months old! (15 months)

Eric has been really honing his fine motor skills over the last two weeks. His latest trick is being able to bend and straighten just his index finger while the other fingers (and thumb) stay still. He is very amused by this and can do it with both hands! (video below!!!)

He also had four molars start to break through, so he hasn't been his usual energetic self. (These are super hard to get a picture of, but I will keep trying.) He is also sticking his tongue in and out a lot lately, I'm not sure if this is part of teething or something else, but it sure is cute!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the new pool!

He is mastering how to get in and out of the pool.

Hey, this is a pretty cool pool!

Let's bring some toys to play with in the pool!

Eric is 1 year, 2 months, and 4 weeks old!

It finally happened, the boy went through the dog door! He just loves going outside so much, nothing will keep him from it, lol!

The water table I ordered online took forever to arrive, but it finally came. I ordered it so long ago!

It came with a water mill, boats, and a pouring cup.

We filled it with water and even added some ice cubes.

Then we added bubbles!!!

What great fun!

Eric is 1 year, 2 months, and 3 weeks old!

Eric and I bought Dada a motorcycle for his birthday! Happy Birthday, Dada!

Eric cannot be outside enough, he loves being outdoors, exploring rocks, grass, dirt, etc. We definately have a little outdoorsman on our hands!

Eric is now tall enough to reach the faucet in the bathtub, so even after I fill up the tub and turn the water off, he gets in and turns the water right back on!

Eric has another new dance move! This one encorporates his arms swaying up and down as he dances! He is so rhythmical!

Working with Dada on the new motorcycle is so much fun!

On August 1st, Eric's new bottom tooth pushed through! Hooray for tooth number 8!

Eric loves his Mook!

Monday, July 27, 2009

Eric is 1 year, 2 months, and 2 weeks old!

This week Eric has another new dance move, he now sways from side to side!

His food texture issues seem to be growing, but we keep trying new foods everyday. Noodles of any kind are slimy, fresh strawberries are great but frozen ones that have been thawed are too mushy, and there are foods he ate yesterday that he won't even touch today - although I have discovered that if I put peanut butter on food he is more likely to eat it, lol! He has really taken an interest in most all beans: black beans, white beans, kidney beans, baked beans, etc, so that's good!

On Friday (the 24th) Eric let Dada put him to sleep for the night. This is the very first time I didn't put Eric to sleep. I have put him to sleep for every single nap time and bed time since the day he was born. I was so proud of my boys and just a little sad.

Hugs for Momma!

i love my dog AND his bed!!!

wait, you brought me a what? i don't know, man...

Eric is 1 year, 2 months, and 1 week old!

This week Eric has mastered getting down off the sofa safely, YEA!!!

He has also started dancing on his tippy toes!

Eric has been copying more and more of the words we say, this week he said "good boy" - can you tell I say that to him a lot? lol!

He has also taken a keen interest in the computer (I can't imagine why, lol!) I let him open his own Word document and have at it. He had so much fun typing (and creating random actions I have never even seen before) that he pulled the computer screen to him, hugged it and kissed it!!! And of course now he wants to play on the computer all the time and has a little temper tantrum if I tell him it isn't his turn right then.

Check out the new Hulk outfit I just bought!

I am taking an online class about photo manipulation and having a lot of fun with it!

This was another assignment from my class. :)

Eric is 1 year and 2 months old! (14 months)

Eric is honing his climbing skills, he climbs up everything and under my watchful supervision (while standing 1 inch away from him) he climbed onto the sofa, up the back of the sofa and onto the breakfast bar. He hasn't mastered the getting down part, so I helped him get back to the carpeting. He isn't too interested in learning how to get down, no less get down safely - I'm really hoping that's the next phase.

Breakfast and cartoons! (yes, I climbed up here all by myself!)

Summertime fun in the sun!

Thank you Grandpa Jim for the fun Elmo Sprinker!

Bailey likes it too!

Monday, July 6, 2009

Eric is 1 year, 1 month, and 3 weeks old!

We are officially in size 5 diapers - my gosh time just flies!

Eric has been copying more and more of the words we say, this week he said "light" and "grandma." He has also been making this sound that I can only describe as dolphin or whale language, its not really screaming but more like a high pitched wail; he just walks around the house "singing" his little whale song.

He has also been having fun pushing his high chair all around the kitchen, its super funny when it crashes into things!

Happy Fourth of July!

As Papa Steve would say, "Eric is workin' on those chops!"
