Eric is 9 months and 1 week old!

Eric's ear infection is gone, but he still has his eye infection and now he has thrush thanks to the antibiotics, so we had to go to the doctor again and get him some medicine to take for that as well as some creme for his diaper. And I got special creme from my doctor because Eric shared his thrush with me. It's been a busy week full of more doctor visits (just like the last 3 weeks) and our bathroom looks like a pharmacy, but we are hanging in there.

In between doctor appointments, we stopped at Scott's work to say hi. Everyone there just loves Eric and they were so excited to see him walking around, standing up without using the wall, and picking things up by bending over instead of having to sit down first! One of Scott's co-workers even had 3 bags of toys for Eric - thank you Lisa!!!

Eric is 9 months old!

This week Eric got his first eye and ear infections. I think he got them when I went to the doctor's office to have some blood drawn. He is on antibiotics and eye drops. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be slowing him down, he is walking all over the place (he is getting really good at turning corners now too!) and exploring objects by shaking them, banging them, dropping them, and throwing them before falling back on the tried-and-true method of gumming them! I know one thing for sure, he does NOT like to have his nose wiped!

His 9 month doctor visit had another shot :( but he got a cool Snoppy-in-space band-aid! Eric is 18.14 pounds and 29 inches tall! The doctor says Eric's eyes are probably close to their final color, although we may see subtle changes later. Hooray for his beautiful blue eyes!!!

Eric is 8 months and 3 weeks old!

ACK!!! We have officially moved up to size 3 diapers! (he is growing up sooooo fast!)

We often play in the livingroom on the floor and sometimes after he has been playing for a while, he will come over to me and hug and kiss me and then go back to playing. He is such a sweet and loving little person!

He loves to be ultra-mobile, he is walking all over the place and is so happy to have the freedom to go where ever (within reason) he wants. He is learning limits, such as we don't eat the cat's food and the garbage can is not a play thing. Happily, he is pretty good about listening when I tell him certain objects are not for him.

We attended Savanna's birthday party at Adventure Land, Eric really enjoyed the baby playground they had there!

Eric loves books, especially Dr. Seuss!

Eric is 8 months and 2 weeks old!

This week he has started saying, "Moma" but doesn't realize that is my name, he just roams around the house saying it over and over again. It is so cute and I can't wait until he associates me with that sound!

I was born on SuperBowl Sunday - the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Dallas Cowboys in Miami, Florida. The Steelers won 21-17. This is Eric's first superbowl, so its super cool that the Steelers won again!

Eric has gotten the hang of feeding himself! :) We are starting a few new foods such as cheese, mandarine oranges, noodles, etc, and he is very interested in them!

Eric is super fast at crawling now (even with a toy in one hand) and great at standing up by himself. The robeez are amazing, today he took 14 steps all on his own! (sorry the video is sideways, i can't get it to flip around) Yes, he is crying, he wanted the camera and I took it away to video tape him :(
