Eric is six weeks old!

Eric is really beginning to focus on objects, he loves the mobile in his crib and the one above his swing and he has been playing with the toys on his bouncy chair! (pic below) It is so amazing to watch him! His little high pitched squel is getting more pronounced and he uses it to show preference - cute, but loud!

Also this week, a lady from my mom's group came to take pictures of Eric. Her name is Molly and she and her husband own TonyG Photography. One of the pictures is below. Thanks Molly!

Eric is five weeks old!

This week I was contemplating my pregnancy and realizing how individulized it really is for each person. It's odd that it isn't like the flu where once you get it your symptoms are the same as anyone else who gets the flu. It's strange to me that I never got food cravings, that my water broke before I ever had a contraction, that I never had braxton hicks, that my morning sickness was 24 hours a day for 5 months, that I never had food cravings, that my belly button never popped out, etc.

Also this week, it is apparent to me that the bones in Eric's head are shifting (perhaps recovering more prominently this week from the trip down the birth canal), the shape of his face is changing! And his eyelashes are getting even longer (if that's possible!!!) soon they will be too long for him to keep his eyelids open!

Eric is 1 month old!

This week he started making little cooing noises. One starts with the letter "G" and the other is more of a squeal! Happy one month birthday, Eric!

Eric is three weeks old!

This week he laughed! I know it was involuntary, but it was the cutest thing! We also started tummy time this week. We try it for about 3-5 minutes at a time, this helps build up his neck muscles. It also seems to help get the bubbles up, he has a lot of bubbles.

Eric is two weeks old!

This week we had our first dr appt. (see him in his car seat below) Eric was 21 inches long and 7.8 pounds! His cheeks are starting to get that kissable chub to them - although its hard to tell when his tongue is sticking out, lol! We play the tongue-sticking-out game a lot.
(yes, the car seat cozy has the Colorado Avalanche logo)
