July 23: Grammpa Bill's bday

July 27: Granny Marge turned 90 today!

Aug 4: Daddy's bday

Tea Party time! Evie uses her blanket as a tablecloth while Eric prepares the tea and crumpets.

Eric at school doing group work.

Guess who likes doughnuts? lol! Usually Scott takes Eric to school, but when its my turn, Evie and I stop for doughnuts. Scott's co-worker found the most amazing doughnut shop where the doughnuts taste amazing, like clouds of sweet goodness! Turns out, the shop isn't too far from Eric's school.

Instead of bikes, we took the wagon this time - they are so cute!

Lots of humming birds in the backyard this year, must be time to refill the feeder again!

It's Grampa Bill's birthday!

Eric gives him the masterpiece of 'Grampa and the Dino!'

Grampa is very impressed!

Time for cake! (pineapple upside down cake - YUMMY!!!)

Cutest girl EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This shirt was a onesie that snaps under the diaper and was too uncomfortable for Evie, so I cut off the part that snaps and sewed on some tulle and ribbon!  :) Now instead of not liking it, its one of her favorite shirts!

Our garden!

Eric has been showing a great interest in the medical profession, so I got him this medical kit, its a big hit!

Evie came and asked me to paint her toenails for her, she is turning into my little girly girl and i LOVE it!!! She gets to choose the color each time. :)

Eric created a Tarbosaurus!

Bedtime for T-Rex.

This one is a Pteranodon

Eric is so smart and clever! He is using a dino flashlight to make dino shadow puppets on the wall in the hallway! Eric says this is a pterodactylus.

Time for a bike ride!

Evie wants to ride bikes too!

Evie's bike has a small compartment in the back perfect for bringing home treasures like these rocks. This girl LOVES rocks, just like her Momma!

She also likes to splash in puddles, she learned this from one of her favorite cartoons called Peppa Pig, who's favorite thing is to 'jump in muddy puddles.'

Evie is 2 years, 4 months and 3 weeks old; Eric is 4 years old!

Evie likes to introduce each family member whenever there is someone besides us in the room. She repeatedly says our names (mama, dada, deedee) and points. This must be done at least 3 times until the ‘new’ person gets it.

Evie now says, “Got it!!!” when you put some soap into her hands. She says, “Eww gross” when I change her diaper and anytime Scott says ‘Eww gross.’ She says, “Oooh, maaaaan!” when something doesn't go her way or Eric’s way.  I also love the way she says “Mama” because it has the emphasis on the last syllable and sounds like the French pronunciation – its super cute!

She is so gorgeous, just look at those curls!!!

Eric's school took their school photos this week, but no one was aware before hand for some reason, so I didn't get to dress him up like I would have preferred. (and I'm totally annoyed that his feet are chopped off, what kind of professional photographer goes thru all the trouble to bring all those props and then cut off the subject's feet?!?)

She loves hats!

And hats love her! :)

This tire swing is huge and really fun!

Gran and Papa Steve took us to Fly Zone, which is a big building with a bunch of trampolines in it. Evie was too young to fit their shoes (or follow any of the posted rules), but Eric fit the shoes, and both of them had a great time.

A masterpiece for Grampa Bill's birthday (Eric explained that it was a T-rex with Grampa Bill).

Eric loves his computer, he is on it everyday. He has found a fun lego game all about dinos called Outbreak! He can beat almost every level!

If he can't beat the level, Dada can!

T-Rex says, "ROAR!"

Running thru the sprinklers!

For everyone besides Papa Steve, let me explain what you are looking at here: this is the underneath inside of a drum. What is stuck here are 2 of Eric’s dinosaur puzzle pieces. This is currently his favorite puzzle. Evie knows this. At some point she got mad enuf at him that at least two of the pieces had to live here for a while. This girl has some AMAZING hiding places. Reminds me of when I was little and my little sister used to hide things from me. Heather could even hid HERSELF in a place that I, to this day, have no idea where it was. I could literally look for YEARS for my favorite bookmark and never find her secret hiding place. And if somehow I saw her go to her secret hiding place (this only happened twice in my life) she would immediately abandon it never to use it again. She had several, so I don’t think it was any big loss to loose just one, lol. I’m not sure what this special skill set might be called, but Evie has inherited it. I intend to watch her very closely so I can learn more about this mysterious special skill set. Thanks for the cool DNA Heather, lol! ♥

If only their vacuums actually worked, sigh.

This face means, "Don't touch my stuff or I will hide something you love and you will never see it again!!!" (its not a threat, its a promise!)

Happy 4th of July!
I used my new kit Summer's End to make this layout.

There's nothing better than bubbles to celebrate!

Eric was really good at making a lot of bubbles all at once while Evie popped them as fast as she could, lol!

Then Eric found this little millipede friend.

This T-Rex has big teeth and an ever bigger ROAR!

I was sad to miss this shot, just Eric's head was sticking out and just Evie's bottom was sticking out, it was pretty hilarious looking!

For the 4th we bought fireworks and set them off in the front yard (well, more like in the street). Scott bought this one just for our Little Miss, lol! He bought one just for Eric too. Everyone on the block was doing the same thing, so the kids got to see a ton of fireworks and I got some great pix.

We also watched fireworks on youtube and on TV. Eric loved the music, so then we had a music lesson and talked about classical music and Scott got out his trumpet and showed the kids how to play and they both took turns playing it and we talked about marching band and how Scott was in band and the kids marched all over the livingroom and it was hilarious. i got some of it on video, lol!
