Week 19!

Baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, is 6 inches, and is about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Hair on the scalp is sprouting.

I've been having some achiness in my lower abdomen, usually its a quick, sharp, stabbing pain on my right side. Apparently, this is round ligament pain, and it's caused by the stretching of the muscles and ligaments that support my growing uterus. It's nothing to be alarmed about, but it really catches me off guard sometimes!

Half Way Done!!!

I threw up this morning because Hub made eggs, but on a happy note, I'm half way done being pregnant!

Baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long and weighs almost 7 ounces - about the length of a bell pepper. I still don't feel any movements, but at the next appointment they should be telling us the sex!

Buying maternity clothes has taken a huge leap to the top of the To Do List (thanks mom for helping me shop!)

Watching the TV rewind or fast forward doesn't make me as motion sick as it has been. However, there are no more comfortable sleeping positions. I sleep very little and now that we have a new baby puppy I sleep even less. I can't remember anything, I am dizzy when I get up, my bodily functions no longer cooperate, I have a headache constantly, I am tired all the time, my body is achy, my nose is stuffed up yet things still smell super smelly... On a happy note, I ate taco bell for the first time since I've been pregnant and it was a pleasant experience!

Week 17

Baby weighs about 5 ounces now and is around 5 inches long - about the size of turnip!

Milk products don't sound as disgusting this week, so I tried some hot chocolate, apparently that was a mistake. I was sick for 2 days. I have been getting really bad headaches, not sure if its pregnancy related or something else.

I went to the doctor's office - this is my 3rd visit to the new doctor - the first time I had to wait 3 hours for my appt because he was delivering a baby, the second time I had to wait 2 hours (same reason), this last time I waited for over an hour before they told me he wasn't coming back and to just reschedule. It's very frustrating, but I guess when it's my turn to deliver at least I know he will drop everything and come running!

Week 16 (Month 4)

Baby is about 4 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 ounces - about the size of an avocado! In the next three weeks, baby will double in weight and length!

It's still too early to feel the baby move or to tell it's sex, but hopefully both will be happening in the next few weeks! :)

I had to buy a new softer toothbrush, all the extra blood the baby is making has my gums bleeding every time I brush, so now I have this new soft little tiny brush that sorta cleans and only makes me bleed a little.
