Evie Daisypath Anniversary tickers PitaPata Cat tickers

Monday, July 16, 2012

Evie is 2 years, 4 months and 3 weeks old; Eric is 4 years old!

Photos taken this week: 47

Evie likes to introduce each family member whenever there is someone besides us in the room. She repeatedly says our names (mama, dada, deedee) and points. This must be done at least 3 times until the ‘new’ person gets it.

Evie now says, “Got it!!!” when you put some soap into her hands. She says, “Eww gross” when I change her diaper and anytime Scott says ‘Eww gross.’ She says, “Oooh, maaaaan!” when something doesn't go her way or Eric’s way.  I also love the way she says “Mama” because it has the emphasis on the last syllable and sounds like the French pronunciation – its super cute!

She is so gorgeous, just look at those curls!!!

Eric's school took their school photos this week, but no one was aware before hand for some reason, so I didn't get to dress him up like I would have preferred. (and I'm totally annoyed that his feet are chopped off, what kind of professional photographer goes thru all the trouble to bring all those props and then cut off the subject's feet?!?)

She loves hats!

And hats love her! :)

This tire swing is huge and really fun!

Gran and Papa Steve took us to Fly Zone, which is a big building with a bunch of trampolines in it. Evie was too young to fit their shoes (or follow any of the posted rules), but Eric fit the shoes, and both of them had a great time.

A masterpiece for Grampa Bill's birthday (Eric explained that it was a T-rex with Grampa Bill).

Eric loves his computer, he is on it everyday. He has found a fun lego game all about dinos called Outbreak! He can beat almost every level!

If he can't beat the level, Dada can!

T-Rex says, "ROAR!"

Running thru the sprinklers!

For everyone besides Papa Steve, let me explain what you are looking at here: this is the underneath inside of a drum. What is stuck here are 2 of Eric’s dinosaur puzzle pieces. This is currently his favorite puzzle. Evie knows this. At some point she got mad enuf at him that at least two of the pieces had to live here for a while. This girl has some AMAZING hiding places. Reminds me of when I was little and my little sister used to hide things from me. Heather could even hid HERSELF in a place that I, to this day, have no idea where it was. I could literally look for YEARS for my favorite bookmark and never find her secret hiding place. And if somehow I saw her go to her secret hiding place (this only happened twice in my life) she would immediately abandon it never to use it again. She had several, so I don’t think it was any big loss to loose just one, lol. I’m not sure what this special skill set might be called, but Evie has inherited it. I intend to watch her very closely so I can learn more about this mysterious special skill set. Thanks for the cool DNA Heather, lol! ♥

If only their vacuums actually worked, sigh.

This face means, "Don't touch my stuff or I will hide something you love and you will never see it again!!!" (its not a threat, its a promise!)
